Alun entered financial services in 1984 with the Rural Banking and Finance Corporation. He stayed in banking until 1991 before joining David Milner and Associates – a financial planning firm specialising in superannuation.
After breaking into the UK pension transfer market, in February 2000 Alun and David decided to specialise in the transfer of UK pensions. The company they formed - Britannia Financial Services - has since grown to become New Zealand’s largest pension transfer company.
As a director, Alun is involved in the day-to-day running of the company but his true passion is meeting new clients and building relationships.
Alun is married to Julie. They have two children, Ben and Phoebe, two dogs, a cat and some tropical fish. When not at work, Alun is most likely to be found in a martial arts dojo where he has been training and teaching since 1986 or out coaching one of his children’s sporting teams.

Wayne is an Authorised Financial Adviser, the managing director and a shareholder of Britannia Financial Planning Ltd, a subsidiary of Britannia Financial Services Ltd.
Wayne began trading shares at the tender age of 12. After leaving school to join one of New Zealand’s largest sharebroking companies, Wayne enrolled for a Business Degree at Massey University. In 1993, he graduated with First Class Honours, majoring in Finance, which he followed with a Diploma in Personal Financial Planning.
Wayne then joined one of New Zealand’s original financial planning companies and from there worked with two multi-national funds management organisations. Recognised for his strategic agility, drive and commitment to success, he was appointed at a relatively young age to senior management positions reporting to various boards.
Rapidly gaining a reputation for building effective and long-lasting relationships, in 2009 Wayne decide to return to his true passion – financial planning advice – with Britannia.
Wayne has three children, Jack, Harry and Penelope. In between balancing work and family, Wayne trains four times a week at CrossFit, participates in various trail running events and is still learning the guitar. He has completed two marathons.

NZ and UK financial services since 1997
Gareth is an Authorised Financial Adviser and is employed by Britannia Financial Planning Ltd, a subsidiary of Britannia Financial Services Ltd.
After leaving school in the early 1990s Gareth achieved a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies at Southampton Institute. After this he went on to achieve a degree with Honours in Business & Tourism at the University of Hertfordshire.
In 1997 Gareth went on to pursue his original ambition to work in finance by working for a major UK clearing bank. Between 2003 and 2005 he successfully became a qualified financial adviser by completing the Chartered Institute of Bankers professional qualifications in Financial Planning and Mortgages.
Gareth and wife Karen moved to New Zealand in 2005 to bring up their two daughters, Abbie and Aimee. Settling on the Hibiscus Coast, Gareth enjoys watching rugby, cycling, sailing and tramping in the great Kiwi outdoors.
Gareth is a Practitioner member of the Institute of Financial Advisers.

Pinpoint strategic focus on the future
After graduating from Cambridge University, Gavin qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young in 1991. In 1998, he moved to Norwich Union (afterwards Aviva plc), the UK’s largest pension and insurance provider at the time, where he worked in various roles out of the UK, Singapore and South Korea.
In 2010 he became Chief Operating Officer at Sovereign, New Zealand’s leading life insurance company, enjoying four productive years before taking on consulting roles. It was during this time that he first worked with the team at Britannia, subsequently being invited back as CEO in February 2016 after a short stint heading a loss adjuster in Australia.
A real strategic thinker, Gavin has a sound knowledge of all aspects of the business and is responsible for maintaining Britannia’s continued growth.
Outside work Gavin is a keen golfer, tramper and has an interest in technological innovation. Along with his wife and three daughters he also enjoys travel and regularly visits family in both the UK and Canada.
